Service

The right permit route and a complete file for your move

Self-employed, highly skilled migrant or another IND category: we identify the route that fits your situation, prepare a complete file and coordinate the process. The IND decides on the permit; we focus on an application in the right category with a complete file.

Who it is for

  • Turkish business owners planning to relocate to run the company they founded in the Netherlands on site.
  • Employers who want to bring managers or specialists from Türkiye to their Dutch BV.
  • Turkish business owners who will draw a salary from their own BV and want to know whether the 30% ruling can apply to them.
  • Entrepreneurs moving with their family who want to plan the permits for spouse and children in the same file.

What is included

  • Category assessment

We compare the self-employed, highly skilled migrant, start-up and EU–Türkiye Association Agreement routes against your situation and identify the right one.

  • IND self-employed application

  • Highly skilled migrant application

We coordinate your BV's recognition as a sponsor (erkend referent) with the IND and the subsequent highly skilled migrant (kennismigrant) application.

  • 30% ruling guidance

We assess the conditions of the 30% ruling for employees recruited from abroad and plan the application together with the payroll set-up.

  • Family and partner permits

We plan the family reunification applications for spouse and children in the same file as the main application.

  • BSN, health insurance and settling in

We guide you through settling-in steps such as municipal registration (BSN), mandatory health insurance and DigiD.

Frequently asked

What are the conditions for a self-employed permit?

The IND assesses the contribution of the application to the Dutch economy on criteria such as the business plan, experience and financial means; for Turkish nationals a specific assessment framework derived from the EU–Türkiye Association Agreement applies. The conditions and scoring can change over time. We prepare your file against the current criteria; the decision rests with the IND.

Does my BV need to be a recognised sponsor for a highly skilled migrant?

Yes, a highly skilled migrant application can only be made through an employer recognised as a sponsor (erkend referent) by the IND. A newly formed BV first applies for that status; the IND reviews the company's continuity and solvency. We coordinate both applications in sequence.

Who can benefit from the 30% ruling?

It is intended for employees recruited from abroad who meet specific expertise and salary conditions; the thresholds and the duration can change every year. A DGA working in their own BV may also qualify if the conditions are met. We review your situation and plan the application together with the employer.

How long does the IND process take?

The statutory decision period depends on the category and can be extended when the IND requests additional documents. Highly skilled migrant applications through a recognised sponsor are usually decided faster. We share the current processing times in the first call; a fixed date cannot be promised.
