Frequently asked

Do I need to travel to the Netherlands for the formation?

In most cases you do not; the notarial deed can be executed by power of attorney and identification can be completed remotely. Some banks may ask for an in-person meeting for the account opening. We plan this together based on your situation.

Should I choose a single BV or a holding structure?

For a single activity, one BV is usually sufficient. If you plan multiple activities, real estate, a future share sale or profit distributions, a holding + operating BV structure is worth considering. The structure analysis report compares both options including costs and tax effects, as a tailored assessment.

How long does opening a bank account take?

Depending on the bank, your structure and the completeness of your documents, it can take from a few weeks to a few months. Banks apply additional checks to companies with foreign shareholders; a complete file helps to keep the process short. The decision to open an account always rests with the bank.

Can my Turkish company be the shareholder?

Yes, a company established in Türkiye can hold the shares of the Dutch BV. The notary will then ask for the Turkish company's registry extracts, signing authorities and ultimate beneficial owner details; apostilles and sworn translations may be required. We address the tax effects in both countries in a tailored assessment.
